Just like everybody else I got to bide my time 'til CiV comes out. So I thought I try one of the several elaborated mods. The only ones I played extensively were FFH and TAM.

Now I got a new comp and I want to test it to its limits :) So I want more of everything, bigger maps, more civs, more corporations, wonders, units, just everything. I don't care that much about historical accuracy or balanced AI.

So what would you recommend:

- Rise of Mankind with giant maps?

- World of Legends with hero units and a lot more civs?

- Overlord with more UUs, Religions, Corporations?

- or something entirely different?

Thanks in advance

Rise of Mankind with A New Dawn modmod.
Yeah, pretty much this. If it's about "MORE! FEED ME!", then AND is pretty much *the* reference mod for CivIV (and I don't even like "more" mods a lot - and I'm still impressed by AND).

Alternatively, if you want to tax your PC and history isn't a must... the Rise from Erebus modmod for FfH2 is also huge and tends to be slow...

Cheers, LT.

Thanks for the input, guys! I'll give ROM with AND a shot.

Kiwitt, your scenario looks pretty interesting too, although I prefer the classical from "stone age to space flight" game. But btw you wrote in system requirements "5: Windows 7 64 is recommended as is 6 GB of RAM or more".

Can Civ 4 use that much RAM, I thought no 32bit program can use more than 2 GB anyway?

Civ 4 "Beyond the Sword" 3.xx version is "Large Address Space Aware" ... i.e. on Win 64 it can access the full 4 GB of RAM, that a 32-bit program can address.
