Warlord
Hello! I've resurrected this decades old account to ask: is there any way to change the in-game music? Not to turn it off and play other music via another program, because I can already do that. But the question is rather how to skip or replace certain tracks and enjoy the rest of the excellent soundtrack.
My primary problem is with the exploration age and its ambient tracks: setting aside that we're only getting two ambient tracks per age (for a game that lasts hours and hours), the two ones from that era are repetitive, kinda lifeless and very, very Eurocentric (the last point is particularly annoying when I'm trying to play an all-Asian game, for example). The war versions are even worse: they're the same, but with this slow drumming that makes them sound like they're from a depressing circus act. I'm reaching the point of completely muting the music during that age, which is a shame, because many tracks are gorgeous (Bulgaria, Incas, Ming...).
Anyway, if anybody can make a mod for this or show me how to change it by altering some game files, please let me know. Thank you, Civfanatics! <3
