Background :
May 1936 : The Spanish people have just voted and the "Frente Popular" (Popular Front) won. Manuel Azaña, you're the new President of Spain.
The "Frente Popular" has promised a lot of social improvement, and republican people want the new government to do them. But the fascists growth every where in Europe. Will a civil war, a revolution spread in Spain ?...
What wil happen on july ? And after, will communists and anarchists stay joined to fight facists ?

  • This version includes a lot of new elements. Have a look to the credits.

v1.1.5 w :
  • Some promotions for International troops. When they join your army, they can already have some promotions
  • Added a new victory condition : when Franco has no more city, the game ends. Then the computer calculate which faction was the best one, and how much better it was...
  • Several little things added/changed (added/modified some texts, modified button for POUM,...)
  • Corrected the error in Popular Front split, etc...

v1.1.0 w :
  • Added the POUM as playable faction
  • Added several levels of game : when you choose the faction you want to play, some of them are strong others are weak...
  • Corrected the problem with Units put out of cities to have guerilla forces in Franco's territory
  • When Popular Front splits, promotions of Units are saved.

The problem with loading games after Popular Front has splited is fixed.

but we need who would join all the interesting modcomps made in python and sdk and maybe write a little bit interesting new code

It's interesting. Right now, I have already to finish Second Revolution with GarretSidzaka, and to work on my Spain 1936 mod...
But I don't say no. When my begun works are finished, I could join your team.

Yes it is.
After the bombing by Germans of a small village called Guernika, the republican spanish government asked Picasso to paint something.
He did that, called "Guernika" (probably more infos on http://en.wikipedia.org)

Yes. The beginning of the game is just done to make you organize before Franco arrives. But I agree, it becomes interesting when Franco arrives.

Don't worry : you'll have an other moment where several popups at the same turn (the first one is about "Pravda"). Click the buttons and wait. It could take few seconds before you can play again... But don't worry, the game doesn't crash.
 
This looks really good. I'm glad many of my units were able to make it into such a well put together mod!

A small note you might want to change on your intro post: The units list is awesome (I love it when people give credit!), but you left the version numbers from the Modern Warfare mod in next to some of them (the v1.05 part). Just an FYI, again, great mod!! Also, the BT-2 was made by me, Asioasioasio has made a BT-7 (for his mod, I don't know if it's been released or if you're actually using it). This might just be my mistake, but I'm also not aware of any PzKpfw II made by Asioasioasio. I do know that Sharick made one way back when though. This is (probably?) the one in your mod.
 
I'm at December Week 1 1936, The last few remnants of Nationalist resistance will be crushed by the end of the month, the trick is to pullyour troops out of the cities that are going to rebel so they can fight a guerilla war. What can I look forward to when the Nationalists are finally crushed

hello fabrysse,

your mod is very good. but i´ve some problems.

1) franco does not appear in the game. i tried it twice and he never arrives in spain.

2) when does the frente popular split? in my game it splits after the second turn. is this okay? i can see on your screenshot, that it is possible also later.

i patched my warlord to 2.0.8 and installed the modversion 1.1.0.w

next i will try the newest version

and with the newest version all mentioned problems are solved. :)

I guess I should add, is this mod for Warlords 2.08? Or Civ 1.61?
