This is my concept for a free, open-source utility/mod that can read World Builder files.
Open the world builder file and become a unit within your city. View your wonders from a first person perspective. Worship in your cities temple with your other civilians. View your cities garrison at work: archers watching on the walls, ships in port, spearmen at the gates! Bored of the city? Hitch a ride via public transportation, or at the airport, and visit the next city. Does your civilization have open borders with everyone? Then roam the world freely! Or join the military and enter the battlefield. No longer are the odds determined by the roll of the dice but by your skills in the battlefield, you make the difference! Haven't you ever wondered how the f*** a knight can destroy a tank? Well now's your chance to see it happen in battle! Ever wish your city had a Vasily Zaytsev, show your skills as a sniper by enlisting as a rifleman or a musketman! Prefer CoD style warfare? Join as a marine, or a Navy Seal! 007 sound fun? Become a spy and infiltrate the enemy base with a golden gun, pull off missions that weren't possible before. Multiplayer you say? Why not? Run into friends traveling the same map! Virtual Reality would be better? I'll be making a version for the Oculus Rift as well.
Step 1: find out if anyone is interested in such a thing. We are going to need some massive support to launch a project of this magnitude, so let's hear it! Consider this a petition
