Mod With Black Screen Map Of Play?

Hello Fellow Civ Fans,

I just installed some newer mods and when I created a new game the screen play is black. I mean you can still see the map but the map is black with highlighted boundaries in yellow etc. I have gone through the mods I have installed and can't figure out which one is causing the map to look like this. Any ideas?

It’s hard to say which specific mod it could be, but there’s a good systematic way to identify troublesome mods:

- Go to your mod list and deactivate half your mods.
- Start the game.
- If it’s fine, deactivate the current half and reactivate the other half.
- Whichever half results in the problem again, split that group of mods into its own two halves.
- Repeat this “halving” of the groups you have the problem mod narrowed down.
