Mod works -- Scenarios don't

I've installed the latest version, the media pack, and the patch.
When I start a game using the Play Now option, it works just fine.
When I try to run any of the scenarios, it starts to load another mod, then crashes to desktop in the middle of the loading sequence.
Any suggestions?

I really don't know. You could try loading regular BtS, selecting play a scenario, and select MesoAmerica. If that also crashes you have a problem with your civ installation. If not, then I have no idea. Do you have anything in your customAssets directory (other than the sounds from the art/sound pack)?

Nope, I don't have anything else in the Custom Assets folder, and other mods work just fine.

As I said earlier, the Star Trek mod works fine -- but if I try load any of the scenarios the program reloads (as if I were loading a different mod), and crashes to desktop in the middle of that process.
(Occasionally it just gives a bunch of error messages and manages to "load" the mod -- the background and music change to the vanilla BTS, and then the program crashes if I try to start or load a game).

Are you sure that the main mod works fine? This is looking like you're missing files - usually this happens when the user simply installs the patch instead of the full mod. You could try a reinstall (if the main mod really does work fine, as in you can start a game with no oddities such as missing sounds/graphics, then just reinstall the scenarios - the folders that are ST [mod name here]).

I had the same problem, but solved it. When I downloaded the mod first, the scenario mods where not in the download yet, so I only had the files othat came with the patch, witch is why the scenarios don't work bu the mod does. You need to redownload the mod for them to work.
