TheRealMaestro
Chieftain
I have downloaded Sid Meier's Civilisation V SDK from the Steam
Library so that I can modify my game. I opened the file from within the
Steam client and selected 'ModBuddy' on the list. It displays a pop-up,
displayed in an attachment below (Civ 5 Error 1).
Closing out of that box opens ModBuddy but shows another error message
(attached as Civ 5 Error 2). Trying this again doesn't help.
Searching this forum for the key-words "update" and "path" was
fruitless; the closest thing I found was this, but that
has nothing to do with my situation (although my Steam name but not
my ID uses the Æ ligature for æsthetic reasons; I doubt that has
anything to do with it but I thought mentioning it may help).
I purchased and installed (vanilla) Civ V from a physical box and CD-ROM,
not from Steam's store. My DVD drive is E:/ and I do not know where Civ
is saved except under "My Games" in My Documents. I use 64-bit Windows 7
as an operating system. How do I get ModBuddy to work?
Need I state this explicitly, I have neither Gods and Kings nor Brave New
World nor any of the DLC except Genghis Khan (which came with my game).
Please help me get ModBuddy to work so I can make the changes I want
to my game. Thank you.
Edit: I have been able to solve this problem, thanks to the guidance
given here.
