Modding capability in question?

Apologies to the moderators if this is in the wrong spot.

Marbozir has some thoughts on the potential for 7 to be modded in a short 5 minute video.

Doesn't sound that promising as an initial reaction. 😥

 
nothing factual here, I'll be concerned if they don't mention modding at all in one of the next streams, but so far there is not really any serious arguments one way or the other.

Certainly. It's just speculation at this point. However, this aggressive DLC model is concerning.

Marbozir did hope he is wrong and I do hope he is right.

Compared to previous games, so was Civ 6's if you think about it.

But I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt not to mess this one up because if they do it basically kills their game's longetivy.

Yes. Civ VI wasn't extremely mod friendly like Civ IV was.

Yeah, I will wait and see. If it is announced to be mod friendly and some modders confirm that, it will go a long way in determining if this is a buy or not.
