Moving up from Civ II modding

Hello,

I have had Civ III for some time, and upgraded to Conquests recently. :D I have just begun modding, however, for Civ III. Civ II had a way to create events by creating an EVENTS.TXT file. I need to know for my mod, 1) is the language the same, and 2) is the EVENTS.TXT file usable for C3C?

I see you registered today! :goodjob:
I don't think you can do this anymore, but I am in the top10 least reliable people for that ;)

I believe that is correct, HOWEVER in 2 months you can get Civ IV and I think you CAN create events again.

Oh, a shame. :( I used events to make units on the fly, alert players of various side quests, or even just create a "news bulletin" which had no real affect on the game, but were fun to read.

Well, I'll try my hardest to create these events. If I find a way to do this, or if I successfully create an EVENTS.TXT file, I'll report back.

Too late, I wasted a day!

Oh well, I had time to kill anyhow. It would be so cool. But it's not worth playing Civ II: Test of Time again because I'd sacrafice so much! :egypt:

Default leaderhead for Egypt is such a tranny, it made me learn to HATE playing Egypt, which I used to love. ALL HAIL RAMSEES!
