I've been trying to contribute to the Modding Wiki today based on some research I've been doing with map scripting. Even with the wiki only having mostly generated content, I'm finding it rather useful. I've managed to create an account and edit a page, but I can't seem to upload any images. I also noticed that external links seem to be spam filtered (I wanted to link to Wikipedia); but that's not as big of a deal.

But anyways, based on what I read in this thread, upload errors, and thumbnail errors, I'm wondering if anyone is still at the helm of this wiki. And if so, will stuff get fixed? And if not, can someone else admin this thing? Or should we not even bother?

Upload errors follow.

We instituted the spam filter to remove the issue of us having to delete over 50 spambots a day by hand, and the filter blocks everything that isn't going to CFC or Firaxis web domains.

As for the issue with uploads, that sounds like another separate issue that an admin should look at. The modiki is mostly run on autopilot and when things break it can take a while for them to get fixed.

I've run a university instance of Wordpress before, so I understand completely about the spam URL blocking. I think the thumbnail generation and upload errors are far more pressing, but I'll continue to do what I can while trying to ignore them.
