Modernizing ancient graphics

How do I have the graphics change when I'm playing so the computer doesn't have archers chasing after my tanks. I'd like to at least change some of these graphics to a base modern soldier/conscript.

To have graphics change with the era, you should make a folder in the Civ 3/Art/Units folder that goes something like "unitname eraname", following the format for leaders, settlers and workers. You'll also need to give the .ini file inside the folder the same name. I haven't tested it personally, but I've read others have tried it and they claimed it worked. Hope this helps some.

actually Ed O'war, I think he is refering to the AI using it's warriors and archers to attack his tanks. For the question, there is no fix, it is just the AI not upgrading it's units to modern era.
