The values that I insert in iGrowthPercent in the GameSpeedInfo / EraInfos XML files have no effect in game.

I tried deleting the cache, reloading Civ4, pressing Ctrl + Shift + T and starting entirely new games with iGrowthPercent at 400 percent and cities still grow a exactly the same rate as per the gamespeed (Epic / Marathon). Is there some other external value influencing these numbers?

Not sure what to do at this point.

Mmm... strange becaue in my version they're working. I'm still doing small changes to balance the game. There shouldn't be other values from what I remember.

Edit: make sure you're editing your current gamespeed section in gamespeedinfo as well as your current era section in erainfos. iGrowthPercent changes with eras while iTrain for example is set depending on which era you start the game.

I will try again with the latest revision, mine is about 1 month old. Will get back to you on this. Thanks as always for your continued efforts on this mod.

Btw, has the big delivery arrived yet? :)

I posted some congratulations in the thread :)

As for my "problem" it was due to my setting the folder shortcut to the XML folder in Civ4 BTS root folder and not the mod folder (idiotic I know). So I was effectively copying my modified XML files into the wrong directory. I am sorry for wasting your time with this.

Thank you, and no worries, I've done the same mistake a hunderd times and I was wondering what was wrong with my files or my editor. ;)

Good to know - after years of programming, I still make mistakes like this which is embarassing when it happens ;)
