Moff Jerjerrod's WW2 Global - Reloaded

Congratulations for finishing your project!
Is it correct that all files together are just about 29 mb? I downloaded the biq,and the part 1-4 files and they seem to be quite small as you mention something about 403 MB in your first post. Or do I have to download rocoteh's original scenario first?

Hi all,

Thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy my version of this scenario.

Samez:

Yes the total unpacked footprint will be about 403MB. You do not need to load Rocoteh's original scenario as my version is a stand alone product.

Basically you'll need to have a folder called "WW2 Global Reloaded" in your conquests scenario folder. Within the WW2 Global Reloaded folder you should have three folders: Art, Sounds, Text

Within Art folder you should have the Units, Flics, Leaderheads, Civilopedia, etc folders.

Within the Sound folder should be two folders: Ambience sfx and dummyBuild

Within the Text folder should be all of the text files needed to run the game, such as Pediaicons, Civilopedia, etc.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance let me know. I'm thinking of taking a screenshot of my scenario folder to show everyone how this scenario needs to be setup on your hard drive. Again sorry everyone for having to break up the rar files like this. I'm working on a solution to package everything in one rar file.

There is no units folder in the arts folder.... As I mentioned the download-able files have a total size of 29 mb... I guess all the unit-animation and sound files are missing in the rar files. (there should be one file >>100mb but there isn't... perhaps I am just too stupid to find it...)

I get it now. You are correct. I may have forgotten to include those files in the arts folder when I broke everything up. You are not stupid I was. LOL

I think I may have found a solution and when I get home tonight back to my computer I will re-upload one zipped file containing everything you need to play the scenario.

Thanks! I guess it's more fun to play with units, than without ;)
I started a game as UK and found two minor bugs:
In the 88.ini the / for the wav files should be replaced with \
And the Civopedia picture for the Iowa has some misspelling.
All errors can be found in the pictures below

I also noticed that the "go to" option is disabled for transport... I am not sure if this was done intentionally.

Thanks Samez for pointing out these issues. I've added a patch to the first post which will fix the ini and pcx problems. I'll make note of the "go to" option needing to be enabled for transports.

I'll keep track of these bugfixes in the third post of this thread.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news so soon, but I've noticed a few very minor issues:

1. There seems to be a problem with the transition between coastal terrain and seas (a visible line separating it).
2. The Germans seem to have a medieval era fortress graphic (Siegfried Line is where I noticed it).
3. Wyrmshadow did make a Polish cavalry unit.

Other than that everything looks perfect. I especially like the bombard sound for the Ju-87, and the issues I brought up don't diminish from the great work you and Rocoteh have done.

Here is a screenie of the coastal terrain you must be talking about:

I'll look into this. I used a hybrid of general-jcl's Civ4: Colonization terrain set and Ares de Borg. Either there is an issue with my mix and matching or something wrong with general-jcl. His terrain set was a last minute addition so I will need to sort this out.

You are correct. This is what I was referring to.

Please get rid of that pickle green T-26. There's a much better version in the database. That one is an old one.
