This Civ stuff is turning into a mayor money drain with releasing new games so fast after eachothr, it's not nice. PTW is still in the discount bin or a new addition is nealry done.

The same was going on with Unreal T.

2003 hasn't been out that long and 2004 and is done end of this year, so what they did is give everyone that bought UT2003 a discount on UT2004

    an idea Cid? :)

I'm willing to pay for new additions to Civ 3 quite often. It has become one of my major hobbies. One update every year would keep me very happy and I would'nt care about paying for it either.

    I love Civ3.

This is a large expansion and I doubt that they will make another one. They made it so large to entertain us until Civilization IV comes out IMO.

I agree, an add on a year would truely rock (perhaps similar to the Champi series) but after each add on I'd still be longing for a Civ 4. I think they'll release C3C and then just shut shop for a while and release Civ 4 in a few years. I mean, what was the gap between Civ 2 and Civ 3?

A $30 expansion every year? That's almost $.06 a week. Guess I'll have to decide between C3C and the mortgage payment.

I'm willing to pay that amount even every half year if they made an addon that looks as great as Conquest is.
30 Euro for a game I play maybe 4 times a week is very very cheap.
1 evening out, going to the cinema, something to eat and something to drink afterwards costs me two times that amount.

Durfal is right. Going out to the cinema or a nightclub is so expensive now. A Civ expansion pack costs about the same as a Friday night out for me. Yet 1 game of Civ can last up to 29 hours. And I know that Civ players are often very dedicated. About i third of my spare time is spent on Civ. Another is spent on reading and the other on my girlfriend.

And don't say I treat my girlfriend bad, she studies in a city quite a distance from me so term times are spent apart, excepting an occasional visit.

I don't know if I can take that $.08 a day drain on my wallet. I'll have to actually work a few seconds a day to pay for it.

well, reading this thread one might think you guys are willing to pay 300 bucks al well... ;)

    But I agree.
I'm a little bit angry about spending the money on PTW. I finally decided to buy PTW three days before they announced that it will be included in C3C :wallbash:
But as far as is looks now Conquests will definitly be worth the money :)

yes it will, but i read in this preview that the will cost 29.99$

let's say 30$, wich is about 30Euro. But i would be pissed (not with held from buying ofcourse) iff they would make this game more expensive.

no way a good game, new game would be sold for a mere 30$ in holland, no sire. i bought Rise of Nations. 50$

prolly same story for c3c too

TerraHero, as Conquests is "only" an addon it will probably be sold at 35 Euro over here.
New games cost indeed 45 to 50 Euro and 40$ in the US.

..you people should be Sims fans. $40 for the game, and $30 for EACH of the seven expansions. Not to mention the Deluxe addition.
