MoO I technical problem

Hi, I've got a problem with MoO unexpectedly quitting after the fourth turn. I followed the instructions for getting it to run under WinXP from jonsullivan.com, but it hasn't made any difference. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions? Many thanks!

Some motherboard will not support the emulation of EMS, so you have to use a tool like DosBox. It is free and works great. It has a link to other tools for a GUI interface to do the setup and commands for DosBox that makes it a snap.

I have chosen Dfend and now Dfend Reloaded. I have it with an icon for several games and I just click on the icon and it brings up dosbox and the game.

I tried it in dosbox with poor results. The performance is choppy, the cursor hangs, and it sometimes freezes. I tried it with VDMSound with excellent results (except for the program quitting after the fourth turn like clock work, but it does this if I run it without VDMS too).

Something strange has now happened. I tried playing it under my administrator account on XP, and I'm thinking maybe that's the answer since it didn't quit. However, whenever I select "New Game", it still loads the previous game (which I never saved) from the point where I last played it. Any ideas?

The speed needs to be increased. I think I run at 19000. Yup, I just checked it. F11/F12 increase or decrease the cycles. How high to go is a function of the PC you use.
