More airpower (projects&ideas)

Awesome chopper, Bebro! I'll be happy with whatever version you go for.

Bebro, you are going to make helicopters? Thats a really great idea! The old version of the AH-64 Apache should get a better shape, too. :)

*Sigh* Unfortunately, as has been said countless times before, the only downside is that helicopters haven't really been made to work well in game... :undecide: Hopefully, that'll change with Conquests.

Well, I didn´t planned to make lots of helis, but at least this BlackHawk :)

Here´s a comparison between the Civ3 heli (which seems to be made after a Ch46 Sea Knight) and my Blackhawk. I´m always tempted to make my units bigger, because they simply look more detailed then, but I think the size below is acceptable.

About a new Apache, I need to find a model then (or make my own)

OHHHHH...I can see it now. Me playing Civ3 with a Blackhawk...and maybe even a Comanche!!! Hopefully my dream will come true...

The model of your Blackhawk is fantastic. If you can do such a model for an Apache, i think my birthday and Christmas is on the same day :D.

The size is o.k.

Ok, I finished some of the anims. Should I include an ttack anim? The Civ3 heli has one, but it seems it is never used in the game, or am I wrong?

An attack anim could be very useful. Your model of the Blackhawk has hellfire anti tank missiles loaded and i think some guys here (me too :D) want to use them!

I´ve never seen the original helicopter attacking. It was only shot down by your Su27

Ok, I´ll include an attack anim. Maybe I´ll post some preview anims over the next days :)

HooRay for the decision to do an attack animation! However,
the UH-60 is primarily the Army's replacement for the UH-1 Huey....
as such, it is used mainly for troop transport, medevac, and resupply. That means that the armament package is usually M-240g MGs or Miniguns, both firing out the doors. Very, Very few
are ever armed with Hellfires -- it ain't their thing. The capability to
carry and fire them is one of the "oh, by-the-way" features that
many military systems have.
