More turns than 2050?

Is there a way to edit scenarios so that the game won't end in 2050? I thought I'd read that you could set the max turns as high as 1,000 but I've been all over the editor and can't find a setting that addresses this.

I don't have Conquests yet, just plain ol' Civ III. Is it addressed in Conquests?

2050 seems like such an arbitrary, stupid limit.

I don't think you can in Vanilla CivIII.

Yes you can. Start a new game, and when you're picking your Civ (I think it is) there is a button labeled 'Game Limits', and you can change the number of turns there.
