Just a standard, Im not used to this new AI rant...
The release clearly says they made the AI more aware of when its losing, so my first game when half the world including some allies declared war on me when I discovered Fusion with an almost done spaceship didnt surprise me, but is anyone else finding the AI less sane than before (which is saying a lot, none of those guys where too stable last relese) I didnt lose a prince game for several months before the patch, but now it seems like if my score gets to the top three in the world I find myself in repeated successive wars with Civs I have good Diplo too and even Civs I have a bigger power graph then.
To be fair it could just be bad luck but i've had a run of three games that have been very frustrating.
Doing an EP economy, my main EP target gets pissed and goes to war (not surprised or unprepared) He brings in war allies, I bring in war allies, pretty standard WW situation. I come up in second place after that but with a very badly spread military, so I just jumped by two of my neigbors, then get attacked on the other side by the reminants of my old enimies and cant get any allies... I thought this sudden was was just a side effect of an EP economy till the next two games wind up with the same thing, Next game I get to place number 3 and wind up in a war by myself vs 4 AI, I did a little demand ignoring but I played nutral religion... So I thought I let my power graph go down too much
Finally, I play Cyrus, Warmonger all the way, MASSIVE Power advantaged leveredged with my Calvarchers, I refuse the Mongols one thing and they declare war (Which Im not used to even from the mongols when I clearly out-power them) I go way way way way across the continent and raze a few cites to end that then start truckin my guys back to continue invasion plans. Before they get home and before I have time to rebuild an equivelent army two neighbor comps attack me... Down I go...
Anyone else finding the AI attacks more readily and allies against you more when your high on the leader board? I already droped to prince to get used to the patched AI, I might be droped to noble if I want to win anymore.
