While the Sultan feels the artifacts should be held in Cairo where they should be he is able to commence diplomacy on the matter. We will send our historians to study but we request if possible to bring some of the items back, especilly on those relating to the history of farming for a special expition. We can on the matter though so let it be smooth in talk.

Pirating might not be the official practice of the NAC government but it is their policy, whether official or not, that has allowed pirates to find a save harbor all these years. A mere request will not do, an example has to be made as what will happen to those who harbor pirates.

We propose that the summit you suggest will involve all nations of the Mediterranean and that it will be a summit concerning pirating, within the Mediterranean, in general. The situation with NAC can also be put forth on the agenda, but we will not be satisfied by mere promises from them.
As for a location, we suggest BAR (that pink country next to France), if they are willing of course.

We thank you. obviously Judea can leave if they want to, this union is completely voluntarily, we wouldn't force anyone in or out.

I like how you locked orders three minutes before answering the question I had, 35 before you said you would, and nearly an hour before I realized what time it was.

Yes I am being ridiculous.

And I also allowed you to get your orders in past the lock because I had just answered your question.

The Kalmar Union will officially begin naval and marine operations to assist the Qing Empire restore stability in China. All ports that have been unlawfully seized by anarchists will be blockaded and all ships sailing to one of these blocked ports carrying supplies, weapons, and other goods that would prolong the ongoing rebellion will be forced to turn around. A ship carrying weapons will be directed to Sumatra, the weapons confiscated, and the ship turned around.

Is it still possible to join? If so, has the Floridian League had any interaction with other nations yet?

You can still join, yes - The Floridian League currently has no player and received a gift of 15 EP total from Amerika and the Kalmar Union to help them recover after a hurricane. Other than that, they are a formerly German colony and there is little else on them.
There is a list of players in the "Players" sheet on the stats spreadsheet.

Yes, Occitania has no player currently. You can post orders or PM them, but I definitely prefer that you PM them.

The October Revolutions!

The Autumn of 1910 will likely be remembered for two things: the near-destruction of Xia, and the October Revolutions. The October Revolutions were a series of demonstrations (and, in one case, and actual revolution) taking place in Europe, Africa, Asia, etc. The general living and working condition of the lower class in these regions were particularly bad, with enormous income disparities, with the peasants often quite literally living in the mud. In Poland, the communists backed down (though idealists are rising up), the Free African communists were engaged in a bloody civil war with the reactonaries, and the Bulgarian Nationalists had broken off of Romania and broken the once-proud nation apart. The people of Catalonian Occitania are frothing at the edge of revolt, seeking to return to the motherland. It seems as though a simple pin drop could send out a spark that would light the entire world on fire...

The Chinese Civil War
In the Chinese theatre, the Qing Empire, with naval assistance of their Kalmar comrades, have pushed the Xia out of their capital in Guangzho, forcing them to relocate to Hainan. Kalmar forces have swooped in and seized Hong Kong and Macau, who did not put up a fight. Nearly 100,000 Xia citizens and soldiers were killed in the fighting for the streets of Guangzho; nearly 30,000 Qing died taking it. All along the Xia border, Xia troops have crumpled backwards, abandoning their posts and fleeing into the Xia hinterlands. It is expected that Xia will fall in its entirety within a month or two.
Spoiler :
The Battle of Guangzho
August 29th, 1910
On a clear day, the Qing legion marches out; it had masterfully reinforced its position, which was weakened in the last Qing-Xia battle, and managed to bring enough force to bear to push deeper into Xia territory. The Xia Army, which had retreated in the face of a renewed Qing assault, held at their capital, Guangzho. Unfortunately for them, the Indonesian Squadron of the Kalmar Fleet had different designs for how the outcome of the battle should go; they entered the Zhujiang River Estuary, blowing the Xia fleet out of the water. The large and powerful Kalmar guns reduced much of the Xia defensive line to rubble; indeed, it caused nearly half of the Xia army to break, and flee deeper into inland Xia, leaving the city with less than half the force that Qing had assembled. In the resulting battle, though the brave Xia troops fought valiantly, they were overwhelmed by the enormous Qing army and the heavy shelling they were receiving from sea. In the battle itself, three of the four defending Xia armies were destroyed, fighting to the last man; the only survivors fled along the same track as their comrades who had retreated before the battle. During the battle, Kalmar seized Hong Kong, which, with no troops to defend it with, allowed the three Kalmar armies to occupy it peacefully. Wu Zetyan, the Xianese Glorious Leader, was shot while trying to flee the city. It is an overwhelming and crushing victory for the Qing and their allies, the Kalmar Union.

Amerikan-Vestkysten Conflict

In North America, the conflict between Amerikan and Dane continues. The Vestkysten army had been dealt a serious blow during the summer, suffering enormous casualties; the Amerikan army, sensing weakness, closed in for the kill. They pushed the Vests hard and far, eventually running into Vestkysten reinforcements - the unprepared Vests were crushed. Amerika currently stands poised to seize all of Vestkysten New Jutland. In the south, Amerikan-armed militias skirmished with Aztlani forces. The Aztlani forces, with better leadership and disciplined, dealt them a single, crippling blow - nearly three quarters of the militia were killed, wounded, or captured in a single battle for a mere sliver of the Aztlani army. Southern Texas has, thus, fallen to the Aztlani military.

Afghani-Sibir Conflict

The Afghani-Sibir conflict is remarkable only for the complete incompetence of both sides when it comes to logistics. Nearly a half of the Hindustani forces who intervened in the conflict starved to death, and an entire Sibirian army perished of malnutrition due to Afghani scorched earth tactics. During one particularly heated battle, both sides managed to fight themselves to a stalemate, thus preventing Sibir forces from entering the regions of Afghanistan not already seized. The forces who fought in the battle were declared heroes by both sides; the Afghanis for holding the line, the Sibirians for seizing a significant portion of Afghani territory.
Spoiler :

The Battle for Afghanistan - Inconclusive
The Great Sibir Offensive into Afghanistan has been brought to a halt in a stalemate battle. The ferocious and brave Sibir warriors, despite being outnumbered nearly 2 to 1, quite nearly broke through the impressive defenses put up by the Afghani-Hindu Coalition. During the battle, Sibir was neither able to push through Coalition lines, and the Coalition was not able to push the Sibirians back. The battle ended in a stalemate, with both sides withdrawing to safe positions to lick their wounds. (-1 Afghan, -2 Sibir, -1 Hindu)

Sicilian Invasion of North Africa

In the Med. Sea, NAC pirates were becoming notorious for their continued aggression towards Sicilian shipping. The Sicilians responded in kind; the Sicilian navy was to occupy the Sea of Crete, and the entire Sicilian military (not the best decision, in hindsight) was ordered to attack Benghazi and the surrounding terrain. The sea battle did not go swimmingly; though the NAC navy was underequipped and outgunned, they were aided by pirates who wished to continue operations in the sea and Maghreb fighting spirit. The battle was inconclusive - 2 Sicilian fleets were lost compared to 3 NAC fleets, but both sides were forced to retreat. On land, it went little better. The Sicilian infantry, unaccustomed to the climate and terrain of the Maghreb, and unfamiliar with amphibious landing, faired extremely poorly. The NAC soldiers in Benghazi fought them to a standstill, forcing them off the beach and back onto their carriers. In the other landing zone, they did better; they managed to land, but at the cost of nearly 30,000 troops (3 armies). With the entire army trapped in a small pocket in North Africa, tired and exhausted and surrounded by their own dead, it is unlikely there are going to fare well.
Spoiler :

The Battle of the Sea of Crete -
On one side, an outgunned and outnumbered fleet of North African ships; on the other, a veritable armada of Sicilian ships. The NAC ships were, however, fighting for their motherland, and they fought with gusto. The initiative went to an NAC admiral who fired on a Sicilian naval convoy, sending to the depths an entire army of Sicily's finest. In the ensuing battle, the NAC proved themselves to be both lucky and strong willed; by the end of the day, the battle was at a stalemate and both sides were forced to withdraw, with 3 NAC fleets having been sunk and 2 Sicilian fleets meeting their demise. The perceived defeat, at the hands of "barbarians," is causing significant amounts of unrest amongst the populace of Sicily's Italian and Anatolian holdings, while being hailed as a miracle by NAC citizens. (-2 Sicilian Fleets, -3 NAC Fleets, +10 War Exhaustion in Sicily, -10 War Exhaustion in NAC)

The Battle of the Libyan Coast
In battle simultaneous to the Battle of the Sea of Crete, 9 Sicilian armies landed near Benghazi; the Sicilian Army, unacquianted to amphibious warfare, made a right mess of it. Despite having far superior equipment and training to the NAC forces, the soldiers proved woefully inaduequate to fighting in the Maghreb. Italian equipment did not fare well in the head and dust; it was a common phenomenon to stumble across a squadron of dead Sicilians, check their weaponry, and find every weapon jammed. Despite this, however, Sicilian soldiers distinguished themselves as brave and ferocious warriors (some scholars comparing them to the Vikings of yore), and despite the setbacks managed to slice out a small slice of the NAC coast, north of Benghazi.
During the campaign, hundreds of Sicilians died for every few Africans; the Maxim Gun proved its worth, especially during the Beach Defense. Nearly 3 Sicilian armies were annihilated, taking a small piece of land, with no significant casualties reciprocated on the African side. (-3 Sicilian armies, +5 War Exhaustion, -10% combat modifier)
