I think it's time to revive this thread. Some really awesome songs in here. Now I have been listening to some techno and its sub-genres lately. So here are two of the most epic ones I found in that genre.

This one has its best part starting at 00:46. By 1:46 the song literally made me want to start running up walls, doing cartwheels and such. I figured that would be a made idea though in my school cafeteria.

Taking a hardstyle turn with this one. This song is just as epic. The best part starts at 1:20. Even the words of just saying it over and over again makes it more awesome.

Meh. Verdi's Lux Aetera is better. This version is in way to many videos.

I'm just pumped because Mansell is doing the OST for Mass Effect 3. I've kind of been spamming his Lux Aeterna for a large chunk of the two weeks(-ish) since the announcement.

Shostakovich - Symphony No. 10. I absolutely love this song. It is epic in that 1. it is long and 2. it tells a story which stretches the whole spectrum of emotions, from somber and quiet to angry and vigorous, from slow and prodding to loud and marching. When I hear this song, I can't help but adopt a cliche term and feel how human it is. This song is life on a grand staff. And so it is far more deserving of the term "epic" than any heavy metal or rock song, which, while they may certainly be awesome, are nearly universally one-dimensional.

I just remembered this thread and thought that I really need to post this song. More epic than so many I've heard before. Blasting this in good quality speakers yields great results.
