Most Great Leaders in a game?

Well I'm up to over 20 playing as the Vikings, I started naming the GL producing units Guards 1,2,3...., but lost count. I just got *three* in the current turn I'm on. I won't be able to get any more this turn as I'm not able to get my current leader to a place I can use him this turn--I can only use two per turn as I just landed on the enemy's continent and can only use them to rush build in the two cities I have as a foothold. Obviously the trick is to immediately use your leader since you can only have one at a time. As is having to fight off stacks of 200 AI infantry.

I got 11 in just 1 turn. They were getting to be so useless at this point in the game, so I was even disbanding some! And I used only slow moving units for these leaders (so no blitz for multiple attacks/turn).

Before that game I think the record was in the 60's or 70's.

Bamspeedy, you could have used them to rush a courthouse or something..

I was rushing riflemen with some of them. Heck, I even rushed walls with some of them. But at some points in the game I had only had 1 or 2 cities on that continent (and had already rushed something that turn) and didn't want to ship-hop the leaders somewhere (too tedious to do that continuously).

Atleast in C3C, they have extra movement, and increased attack, so that might be of some use. 100+ "modified" units. (provided you had the cities for them...)

Is that the GLs? Or is this where they are increasing the power / usefulness of the armies?

Man, 163.......I feel completely inadequate now. My best is only 7, with Japan of course.

I don't get it, but perhaps because I play mostly on tiny maps.
I seldom get GL, perhaps 3 in a game. When playing a non-mil civ, which means fewer elite-units and hence fewer GL, it's not uncommon to not get one single.

I thought the chance was 1/16 to get one each time an elite-unit won, but I feel they are quite rare, so 163 - then you must have a hellof a lot of units - first then it is understandable.

I always rush the forbidden palace when I get one, since the city you need it in usually produce only 1 shield, and no forests can be chopped down.

I got 8 playing as America, warlord, huge map. Have never got that many in one game since.
