In you guyses opinion what are the most unique locations for cities in the world

    Cities ive noticed:

Kansas City: Most productive city in the world, with 1 or 2 right wonders i was able to build any modern wonder i wanted within 2-5 turns it was amazing, the reasources around it are incredible. As japan i colonized the west coast and moved inward, with my shale plant, kansas city became the best city in my empire:king:

New York City: City with most Food Suply, Before it flipped to me from England it had 27 population, but as you know that declinded cuz england destroyed my fishing places outside of it, as soon as you resolve that conflict rebuild the fishing places and add a supermarket its population gos way up, and not to mention the boom from American Dream

Any other cool cities out there?

I had to say the most food city belongs to Montevideo or thereabouts (1 fish, 2 cows, 2 corn, 1 deer). Constantinople is close with 3 seafood and 1 corn (later).

Hanoi is not bad for production. Ryazan (built 1S of Moscow) is also a great production site (captures the iron in the south and all the cows/horses).

Paris, if built slightly southwest without other cities, is a monster production site because it can grow and has lots of rivers. Then again, all the European countries should just have 1 city (see my Roman conquest game)--my "Paris" had 30 population without environmentalism.

This question arises occasionally on the forum.

I quite like Rome, Constantinople, London, Posen (1E of Berlin), Baghdad/Babel, Chicago and any city near Chicago to the SW (e.g. Denver or Grand Rapids(?)).

Denver is awesome, Rome is really good (doubly so since it can be in so many different hands), Zimbawbe can be surprisnly good as well

Denver I think is better than Kansas City (ontop of the Oil, with uranium, cattle, horses, gold, marble, wheat, corn, and I think one or two in range). I get 300+ hammers a turn with iron works and factories and everything out of Denver as the Americans.

New york is variable. If you can get it to get the three fishing boats, it is amazing. You can also settle it on the OTHER side of the Hudson, and it does a lot worse. Its also easy to choke New York with other cities in the area.

Tokyo and Seoul are usually good.

Frankfurt is a powerhouse producer in Europe.

I think Jakarta has possibly the best growth potential, especially once you get Biology. However, Jakarta has atrocious production.

Chicago, San Francisco, Rio De Janeiro, London, Seattle are all pretty darn good too.

Frankfurt was the foundation of my recent German win.

Amsterdam can grow pretty rapidly as long as you keep people away from your seafood, with 1 fish, 1 clam, 1 cow, 1 wheat it can grow like a weed and end up as one of the most financially productive cities in Europe.

Lahore can get up there as well, mine got up to 15 I think by 1200 in my India win, not to mention good production and resources from there as well.

Constaninople is one of my favorite cities, Babil is excellent, Chicago is probably the best pure production city out there and unlike Frankfurt it is generally free from any foreign influence.

The only problem with Chicago is that it's not on a river, and there's the "foreign" influence of the Americans if you're founding it as another civ.

As far as East Asia goes, let's not leave out Keijo (Seoul)

Don't forget Shush, it's one of the best cities outside America (if you raze Babili, of course).

Beijing and Shenyan are both quite nice, as is Guangzhou if you don't build Hangzhou or Nanjing.

Beijing, yes, especially if you more it one square to east, for harbor. I don't like Guangzhou, it's too production poor. Makau is just simply better.

    Denver beats Kiev:

Denver: 2 horses, 1 uranium, 1 gold, 1 coal, 1 wheat, 1 corn, 2 cows and lots of tiles with rivers and lots of hills. Plus the oil you sit on.
Kiev: 1 horse, 1 uranium, 1 iron, 1 pig, 1 deer, 1 wheat and fewer tiles with river and not enough hills.

My most "special" city was founded in the forested part of northern canada to the W of Hudson Bay.

After I built the National Park wonder and Statue of Liberty I had an insane number of specialists working for me due to all of the forest preserves that I established nearby.

    Denver is a hammers powerhouse.

The best city I've played with (or at least that most impressed me) was Amsterdam though. That is, if you play Netherlands. Amsterdam is absolutely... well I could invent another word but it still wouldn't be enough :D
