Does the introductory video of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord - War Sails truly represents Middle Ages warfare? particularly naval warfare and even navy of that time? I saw ships that's clearly looks like German Cogs, except that.
1. These ships use quarter rudders rather than central rudders (which were clearly superior, and already came to exists by 10th-11th Century, while Cogs shown up in 945 AD (the oldest evidence of the ship itself), originally intended for freights, yet cogs were occasionally converted to war )
2. These ships use oars! not what to believe! to my knowledge I think it is Studio's fantasy or balance mechanics. Cogs are made as sailers--too fat and too tall to use oars properly)

Unless there's a clear evidence of war cogs that did use oars. this is what I don't really believe for now.

Not counting Byzantines (or similiar faction with similiar emblemb but different name) still use beaky ram ships and labelled 'dromon' while IRL Byzantine naval focus shifted towards boardings. in the other video the ship hull type is called 'Dromon'. with ram bow.
