Mouse moves to start menu by itself

My mouse keeps flying over to the Start Menu by itself. Nothing further happens but its annoying because for a second, Im not in control of the mouse. Ive got NAV and Norton Internet Security, and I regularly run Spybot and Adaware, and I update the virus definitions every 2 or 3 days. So I dont see how it could be a virus Anybody else have this problem?

Does it go to the center of the Start menu, or just to bottom left corner?

If it goes to the center you may have some settings on your mouse that has it 'snap' to the default button of the curently active screen.

If it goes to the bottom left corner, then you most likely have a hardware issue with your mouse.

Thanks Duke, a mouse hardware issue hadnt occured to me. My internet paranoia made me think I was getting hacked or something.
@Aphex, youre right, but Im the one thats haunting the computer.
