Mouse problem

As of late, I have been having problems with my mouse. Sometimes, mostly after a turn or examining a city, the golden mouse cursor stops moving, but I can still click and move my mouse around. Even when I leave CivIV the mouse is still gone. I checked to see if I have the newest drivers for my mouse (MX310 from Logitech) and I have a newer one than on the site. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

On a side note, before this happened it used to crash alot. It has seemed to "switch" bugs.

Temporarily I fixed this problem by making the mouse make a "trail" when it moves. So instead of the mouse being lost, it flickers alot and seems to make the game slower at the same time, however, I can use the mouse again. If anyone knows how to fix this problem I would be greatful.
