Re-balancing Tech tree right now new version uploading it tomorrow morning was hoping to have it up this weekend but bug fixing ate up a lot of time. New AI, New tech tree, and new unit rules as well. Also figured out how to get Unit icons in the game without needing to over write files in DLC folder someone figured it out.
 
will any of these be compatible with it?

Smoother difficulty already in mod so is quo's fewer AI tantrums they not physically in it but i have taken pieces of their code and changed them they will also conflict with new version i would play new version with no AI tweaks I'm uploading right away. Like in the next 10 min's Game is vastly different now. Also AI now plays like a player to a tee now so i would not add any AI mods as it may conflict with my last month of code. AI is completely revamped so hardcore about 300 new lines of code for the AI. Telling each AI exactly what to do when based on their individual bonuses and personalities they will have alot of life now also they war way less.
 
It's up now please let me know about what you think of tech tree also dont gun for future tech it crashes every time don't click until all tech are researched that come before it.
 
did you change anything to the machine guns in this? because i edited my ini to change range to two. but using this it's still one?
Its done now they have 2 range many units have had range increase but sight decrease to balance out the stacking.
 
how ill this work with mods that add extra units like
MOAR units
Strategos units???
how about compatability with mods that add techs and change the tech tree???
 
played a quick game to 250 turns the new tech tree is good and i like how you have to research lux b4 they appear. but I'm noticing the ai isn't very good they aren't really expanding in fact they still only have under 4 cities japan hasn't even expanded at all?
 
I agree..in some cases the Ai is better as it builds more military earlier and it was harder to take their cities but they are not expanding and it seems I can get ahead from them earlier.
 
Just to reiterate by around turn 200 I have six cities and Rome has three and all the rest have one city!!! The AI is behaving more rationally and actually moves a lot of units across the map before declaring a war and doing nothing about it...so there are definitely improvements but they are not expanding enough nor are they able to keep up tech/civic wise after awhile.
 
i'm not sure what they did in the latest AI+ but it seems to have broken the AI completely
 
Yeah im trying to get them expand more but its diffucult i have to rewrite whole system slowly working at it but coding and testing right now is slow without sdk kit so... im trying.

New Combat System again... & Major AI improvement

AI has been fixed Dynamic AI is now active, took me a while but had to remove a lot of AI+ to get it work. Took longer then I thought AI+ has a lot of errors. But this fixed the bugs in AI+ while doing what he was trying to achieve.

Combat system now is going to be heavily based on extra units bonuses for having a resource right now we have 2 so far partially done so far if you got any ideas post them on the board. The rules of what we have so far since i have not changed the civilpedia yet...

they are definitely expanding now! Poland and Egypt tried to surround me and block me in but i quickly got an army together and pushed them back.
 
Yeah good so you like the changes so far and AI will continue to improve the AI and the combat balancing to help weaker units and special units be more resource tied abilities.
 
Ai not expanding again they are making settlers but they are just either staying in the city they are built in or wandering around the map aimlessly.
 
Oh horsehockey ok ill post fix update soon next version should work and they should settle smarter and better give me and hr or so!
