    :goodjob:

Anyways, saw the movie. Enjoyed it quite a bit.

Actually, my wife and I were both of the opinion that it did.

    Trollhunter? :hmm:

Was there some pun intended? You know, I'm not yet good at recognizing it in foreign language. ;)

Anyways, trolls, iirc, belong to Germanic mythology, not Slavic or Celtic.

There was a great game by Sierra in mid 90-ies, Quest for Glory 4. That was close to Slavic mythology.

Well, he is a good director and actor as well. He isnt known to do crap projects and that wasnt the case where Thor is concerned either. Although it is indeed summer movie fare, its still well done and very entertaining.

Thor was much much better than I expected. I didn't know if they could pull of the balance between the Norse mythology stuff and the real world Marvel Universe.

So, there are only like what, a thousand movies based on books out there. Maybe you should get off your high horse and read a little. You would realize that easily half of all Hollywood movies are adaptions of novels. There are actually a lot more of them than there are comic book movies.

I saw the film and give it 5/10. The action scenes were ok and the individual plot points were not bad, but the movie tried to tell two stories (Thor on Earth, Thor in Asgard, roughly) and ended up not doing much with either. Historically, these comic book things go from a first movie which is ok, but overburdened with exposition, to a second movie which is very good and then a third movie which is a mess. X-Men was like this as was Spiderman. Ironman has followed the pattern thus far.

That's a good point. Especially with Spider-Man, the third one was a complete trainwreck. How many villains do we need to cram into a single movie, guys??

I'll probably see Thor on DVD or something. I typically enjoy the superhero movies even when they're done poorly, but it doesn't sound like this one's a must-see in the theaters.

Iron Man 2 seemed to be more burdened with exposition than the original.

This. The first Iron Man was EASILY much better than the second.

The love story was pretty weak, and I didn't care too much for the start either, but all in all a pretty decent movie. At least an 8/10 imho.
