I will say that for all of the various bonuses the Caravansary has gotten, it STILL just doesn't feel like a building worth getting in a lot of situations.

Meanwhile the market has always been a solid and staple building.

So what if the Caravansary received the ITR bonus of the Market. Its in line with the "trade" building getting the trade bonus, gives a little more incentive to build this building, and pushes back a bit the ITR instant bonus, which is very powerful in the early game and at a time when ITRs are already quite useful.

    Thoughts?

I find the +1 food every 3 tundra/desert tiles worked to be disappointing. There's little incentive for working such tiles unless you have some resources there and they are boosted by a pantheon. Even then, sometimes I'm working on 5 tundra tiles which gets a whooping +1 food in total from the caravansary. I know a tundra city is not intended for specialists, but couldn't it yield a bit more food?

That power is so weak I sometimes forget it exists.

You don't work said tiles, the caravansary takes how many tundra/desert tiles are within the city's 3 radii (that are owned by the city) adds it up and multiply it by .34 and gives you the food bonus.

The Machu Picchu works like this and you can't work Mountains without you being the Inca.

Oh wow, I learned about something new today. The description of the building should be updated then, because it's not clear at all.

Neither for the mountain pantheon nor for the Machu Picchu you need the mountains in your borders. I would do the same rule for caravansery, cause the effect is weak anyway.

wouldnt matter then since the caravansary and the machu pinchu has the same code except for different terrain.

So your saying the caravansary already ignores borders...or that it could be made to do so very easily?

Oh! Really? I guess it's good for working one or two specialists, then.
