It's not the MOI's job here, but I wanted to make a request. Perhaps the Military Advisor or the Governors or whomever takes the lead in these cases can post their plan.

I see in the game that many home island cities have 3, 4, and even 5 units that they support. I know that some are obsolete units, but since we're so close to gunpowder and Leo's it doesn't make sense to disband them.

I'm hoping that as we are adding new cities (thanks for the city of Kevholm, Duck :)) we can move these extras to the new cities as they are built. This would open up some production in the older cities and allow the new cities to start with building other stuff.

Just a thought to throw out there.

I looked at this and thought you were going to say that we should move our units on roads so they get around quicker!

Anyway, my dumbness aside, I agree that certain cities are bearing too great a burden with regard to shield support of various units and want to suggest that while we are not at war we should commandeer a trireme for the sole purpose of moving units around the empire and rehoming them where necessary. Ideally, I'd like each city to have only 3 combat units supported maximum, as a dip is a better fast defender than most when you've got enough money. Remember that bribed units can be converted into shields at the nearest city by disbanding and that we are unlikely to have any NON units from troops attacking our empire, being based mostly on islands. We can spare a single trireme to do this I'd have thought and some reshuffling now will pay dividends when we reach democracy, rather than having to react when certain cities begin to have problems.
