MP not saving settings?

Ok so the wife and I were playing a private game last night (was set to private) on easiest level (noobs ) and when we go to play our game, everything seems fine, cept the game is now set to public and the difficulty to prince. Am I missing something else here?

Yes you are missing the patch and the expansion. Hit the next turn button and hope that the next turn brings a patch to fix this.
