Immigrants should learn the language of the country they immigrate into, and obey laws, values, and traditions of their host countries. Multiculturalism leads to parallel societies and therefore remains a lie.
- Angela Merkel

#imwithher. Multiculturalism, aka the belief that cultures can live side by side, just leads to problems, social strife and a lack of consistent cultural values. We see it in America, what a terrible country, a ******** country, as the American president may or may not call it. I also see it in Germany, we have real problems with large communities of Arabs who are basically not able to take part in German society because of language barriers, and because they lack the basic abilities to take part in the job market (such as, showing up to work on a regular basis), and it's bad for everybody. For them, because they don't have the ability to take part in the "pursuit of happiness" so to speak, and for the rest of Germany because of the crimes they commit, and because it's really annoying to have people constantly ask you for a Euro or so while you're walking through the inner cities. Overall, multiculturalism is bad, and is to be avoided at all costs.

Any country that is trying to stand the test of time should make sure that immigrants are not only supplied with the tools they need to integrate into the society as it exists, they should be forced to use these tools, and become part of the identity of the country. Those who refuse, should get free helicopter rides right towards international waters. That's a joke of course, but making sure immigrants adopt the values of the host country, and not segregate into their own communities, is not something that should be optional, it should be expected from every citizen.

Damn, I was thinking about retiring to Germany, but those long, long words and funny letters have always confounded me. And I am not a beer drinker. Is liking BMW cars enough?

It has worked in the U.S. for centuries. Of course that was just multiculturism between various European nations which is more effective than multiculturism on a world wide arena. Nevertheless, the United States is a success. We are no Norway, Denmark, or Sweden, but we do pretty good.

Now things are being stirred up recently, but that's only because of certain internet sites stirring up hate. It was fine until the internet came about.

Seriously, life in the U.S. is pretty good. We have had no violent riots in ages (since the Rodney King riots).

TL DR U.S. > Germany. :p
