Multiplayer Host

I have been trying to host my own Red Death games and no one ever seems to join, i also have alot of trouble joining other peoplea games. Is there anything i can do to resolve this issue?

 

Since you are having problems in both joining and hosting, it may be an ISP problem. Civ 6 uses a peer to peer connection, this involves a high amount of pinging to maintain connectivity. Some ISP don't respond well to this. If you're using an ISP provided gateway, you'll have to forward the ports Steam uses. These are listed on a Steam support page. If you're running on a school network, you'll have to contact them to get the ports forwarded.

 

Hahaha nah im hosting from home. I can still play with many people during aussie peak times, just having problems joining other people around the world, especially europe.

Was curious if theres anything i can go to help connecting to hosts and visa versa.

 

I play Australians all the time, generally higher pings, but that could be said of anyone out that way. Still may be an ISP problem, not liking pings coming from certain countries. I'd still inquire if they block ports due to high amounts of pinging.
