Dear All,

due to the great offer of epic games my son and I downloaded an own version of CIV 6 on two different WIN10 computers.
We wanted to start a multiplayer game over the LAN but cannot see created games of the other.

It is possible to play together over the internet by using these codes. We can see each other in the friendslist. -There we can even see, if the other is hosting a game.

We are in the same LAN, same subnetgroup. We see shared folders. Turning off the windows firewall does not help.
Am I missing something?

best regards,
Martin

If no one else is able to chime in about similar LAN issues they themselves are having, the possibility may at least be the fact that their servers are a tad overloaded with the free Epic Game Store thing. Several of the multiplayer options are wigging out because of it, and although LAN may not necessarily be "online", it could also be affecting this perhaps? I'm assuming anyway... I'm not a programmer.

Thanks for your reply!
I think that cannot be the reason because it is possible to play over the internet. And that works well.
It just would nice to be able to play together without internet connection.
