Multiplayer problem, can`t get started.

I have some problems understanding who to get started. I don`t know where to find any IP addresses.
I did download ICQ but never just it before, that, and I never tried communication over the net either before.
But I still know my way around in civ ll after many battles and quit a few years playing it.
Can somebody help me!!!!

Ok well here's my answer. Warning! I'm throwing this off the top of my head so hang in their.
If your hosting an Internet game, go to the Internet/IP type of game, and then go to HOST GAME, and fill in the stuff make the game options and sometime after you click "host game" it should tell you your IP address. Hope you can understand me i'm very tired at the moment and i'm barely awake
