OOC: Now we just need somebody to take Cascadia. :p Welcome to the game. :OOC

Al-Qaeda bases have been uncovered pretty constantly for the last several years, so it seems safe to say that their power is declining somewhat.

Humanity First is breaking its ongoing media blackout for its fifth ever public announcement.

NGO's are based in countries. But countries do not have any control of said NGOs. Al-Qaeda is currently based all over the world and bases have been outed publicly in numerous continents. They have a public mission to retake control of the Islamic religion and declare Jihad regularly on countries they dislike. Other NGOs include the neutral mercenary like Goon Squad and Spartacus, who has declared war on all slave owners.

So they have to invest money in bases and if they get outed they lose their investment there? Is finding bases based on some kind of espionage? Like high defensive espionage finds bases?

OOC: Essentially, yes, you can use one of your espionage missions to have your agents search a country for NGO bases, and if any are found then the NGO loses some of its investment there. I dont think defensive espionage actually finds any bases unless you are specifically running some sort of counter-espionage mission in your home nation though.

The Leth Confederacy, having been indisposed for most of the weekend, hereby welcomes High Human Illumination to the world stage. We hope for further development and cooperation between our nations.

To that end, the Leth Confederacy would like to sign the Treaty of Jackson as well, offering the same terms outlined in the treaty to the HHI and the CSA.

the Roman Empire welcomes the High Human Illumination. we cant do much more than that.

anyway, the Muslims in the Roman Empire condemns the Al-qaeda, calling it an extremist terrorist organization. we may not like Atheists, but we are smart enough to know that everyone is different. well... most of us.

Everything said of NGOs thus far is true. They set up espionage in a country, derive income from that, and it takes counterespionage orders on the part of a major power to root them out.

Morocco and Libya agree to the formation of the NAPR,

Egypt does not consider itself opposed to the African Union in principle, but not supportive either; regardless it is open to signing a defensive alliance between itself and Bosnia.

Excuse me, "threat"? Really? All the African Union has ever done was fight back against the unjustified invasion of Ashanti by Cape Verde. We fought back Cape forces and then created a peaceful solution with the division of Cape Verde into three separate countries and taking up the reparations that they would have given to Ashanti upon ourselves so that there would be no animosity between the countries.

How have we been anything but good for Africa? Unless you are suggesting that Cape should have won?

Amusingly, it was all done in the name of economic imperialism and the fact that Cape Verde presented a good enemy to rally against only helped sped things along.

We are merely asserting that the African Union has no business meddling in the affairs of the North African states. The only threat we see is that to the political identity of these nations thus we would not like to see them fall under the influence of the blanket alliance.

Would Egypt be against a defensive alliance between itself and the Congo? We protected Ashanti in the past from Imperialistic invasions and even removed the threat completely; we would happily do the same for our other African brothers.

As our relations with Tayloristan have had a boon the prior months, Egypt sees no problem with a defensive alliance.

Egypt has close ties to multiple countries at this juncture; its position as holder of the Suez Canal also leaves it in a delicate diplomatic stance. The NAPR is firmly in the Bosnian camp; to avoid alienating any particular party we are afraid we cannot accept entry into such an alliance at this present time. We are however, open to continued good relations and a defensive pact between Egypt and Bosnia alone, rather than between Egypt and an entire organisation.

I'm surprised there's no terrorist attempts to reunite the Cape. That'd be one hell of an ally... :p

I see, hopefully you would not be against them creating free trade agreements with the AU as freedom of trade in Africa is one of our tenants.

I will be going on vacation starting this wednesday and ending a week from today (next sunday). I won't have internet access during that time, and I will probably miss at least one orders lock. Tani, if I don't get some sort of general guide together for the next turns orders, Im sure you will do fine knowing how I like to play.
