I formed a Mutual Defense pact with another civ, and got them to declare war on my current enemies. Now one of them is suing for peace; but if I accept their (lucrative) terms, my new allies become furious with me because they are still at war. What gives? Is there any way to negotiate jointly with the enemy civ?

I would sign the treaty and if I wanted to improve my relations with the other nations, then make some tenative agreements with them, i.e. give them a recently captured city, a useless tech, cheap resource deal. They may be mad for a few years but they will come around. After all, they would do it to you.
I thought of that. When I do placate my mutual defense partners, they recover their positive attitudes pretty quickly; but I'm worried about reputation effects here. I don't want to start acting all French or anything.

that`s been on many people`s wish list, but, well, 1.17 left a lot unchanged (and I don`t mean to critizise Firaxis here - the bugs alone were a handful to fix!)
