In Warlords, the mehmed leaderhead has a problem with some graphic cards. I notice you're running BTS, but perhaps the problem is the same. There's a patch for this in the database of CFC.

Why are the terrain and units low-res and blurry while the UI textures are fine? o_o

Because blurring text looks bad. They are using a different filter than the 3d world.

Strange... I have the same problem however Memhed's leaderhead in Warlords works perfectly.
