My ultimate civ5 world map wish

I don't see CivV becoming RTS but the graphics were REALLY UBER COOL!

:wow: That would be absolutely unbelievably ridiculously awesome. Although, you'd want to take away a far chunk of the tactics bit, and just have the graphics. You don't want to restrict Civilization's target customer base to expert military tacticians.

Civ IS all about expert tactians, strategical thinking and empire management imho and should stay that way... If people want some action-packed games with nice graphics and all, there are allready games out there that stand up very nice!

I meant specifically military tactics, as opposed to the empire building tactics present in Civ.

It looks AWESOME but my poor old computer would choke and die on graphics like that.

Im glad civ isnt about graphics, if it was I wouldnt be able to play it.
Well unless I won the lottery or suddenly became gods greatest gift to online poker or something...

I actually still prefer civ3's 2d isometric graphics over civ4's. I hate the fact that civ4 is putting a burden on my cpu and video card everytime I play 2+ hour game session. I still love the game, but I feel sorry for my computer, lol. I'll definitely still go out and buy civ5 if/when it comes out, since gameplay will overpower the inconveniences of 3d anyday.

Killer graphics, but that graphics engine would definitely kill some systems.

Very beautiful terrain, a Civ world map so realistic looking would be cool. I wonder though if a very photorealistic map would almost require photorealistic troops too or end up spoiling the illusion. And if better troops are included would we be raising an eyebrow at our simple tactics in Civ? I think so. Still it would be awesome to zoom around a "real world".

But Civ's fun as it is. For now...

I wasn't patient enough the first time. I was wondering what Tyson vs. Ali had to do with Civ. :)

Worth waiting for, though I wasn't endorsing the inclusion of Total War style combat, but it would be magnificent to on occasion zoom in to something like this.

i was thinking the same thing... it would be cool to have armies led by mike tyson tho

:rotfl: Me Tooo...I couldn't figure out what people were commenting about:hammer2:

Those are very impressive graphics. Civ5 (or if not, Civ6) may well look something like that. That would be quite neat. :)

Of course, I'd need to go out and buy a new computer to play it. But then again, it's been a few years since I bought my last one anyway. ;)

Imagine zooming in like that and seeing the Pyramids in all it's splendid glory!!!

I dont think zooming in on my major cities will be that beautifull, come to think of it.
I run slavery for like 5000 years, and my cities are usually above healthcap running a specialist heavy economy.

It will be a smelly, sickening place where people get beaten and flogged a lot for no reason.
The differences between rich and poor will be huge.
But its safer to be feared then loved right?

I would like to zoom in on my harem & concubines though *dirty laughter*

CIV has driven my computer needs in recent years. I'm hoping by the time I need to buy something to play the next CIV, it will run on something better than VISTA.

That was beautiful, I particularly liked the battleships shelling from over the mountains.

All the panning and zooming made me ill.

I'd say that's probably very likely. It shouldn't be too long before Windows 7 is ready to go. From what I've heard it's no more demanding than XP is, but with many more features.

CivV as an RTS? Well, what with lifespans increasing I suppose I could set aside 6000 years for a game now and then :)
