Hey, hey, of course you can win without an early war. If you're good. Me, being the freshly up to emperor player I am, barely escaping the ranks of noob, have yet to win an emp game without an early war. If I want to win by peaceful builder, I have go back down to monarch. Even then...prince is more likely. I didn't say it's the only way to play the game...just seems little easier to me. Anyway, the OP was about warmongering, was it not?

actually, i mentioned you in the rambling, buster. twice, saying you'd be proud of me for the wonders i built in my "real" cities, while pumping out troops in the Globe Theatre city that i for once got working the right way, whipping it constantly! i never manage to get that right, but one time i did. it was spiffytastic.

i only mentioned privateers once *giggle*. yarrrrrrr!
