My worst nightmare

OK, I finally purchased BTS and played a full game. I played without aggressive AI and won a boring cultural victory on Noble. I played a few more games without finishing to try out the new features. And now it is time to try mixing leaders with new civs. And at the same time try my hand at something of a CE. Though it will probably be more of a hybrid economy. Agreesive AI is turned on this game which is going to be somewhat of a challenge since i made sure Monty is in the game as well. And if you are wondering why this thread is called "My worst nightmare". Well not only is Mad Monty in the game, but it is Mad Monty of ROME. Oh please let him be on another continent, pretty please with sugar on top.

The game settings are Perciles/Ottoman/BIG-small/standard/normal/fixedassets(no world builder possible)/agreesive AI

And here is our starting location. Lots of food, but crap for production. We will research fishing first then mining--->BW. Build will be warrior then work boat.

Things started well with getting AH from a hut so we can work the cows but as you can see from map, production is going to be an issue.

But now the bad news. With these two yahoos around so close life is going to get ugly fast. Especially if they found seperate religions. They will be at war and asking me to join...I have to monitor power ratings closely so I don't join the wrong side. Though if Mad Monty has Iron then I wanna be his BFF

OK, this game has do-over in it's future. W have some of the nastiest of the nasty in our neighborhood....and Mad Monty has Iron....we need to get our copper connected asap and go attack him. Or we're toast.

we met some more wonderful neighbors...Julius(who is aztec of all things) and Sitting Bull. I have no idea how sitting bull plays. We have been monitoring Monty and his iron. The turn he hooked it up we declared war. We will pilliage that mine and keep it pilliaged until we can take hiw capital which is on a hill

More seriously, Your only hope in this game is throwing them against eachother... And make Monty your pet dog.

By the way, Monty is Roman, isn't it? Good ol'Monty with preats.... Nice ( but not for everyone else )

Sorry, did I misread the map you posted? You have 5 seafood + 1 cow??

Does the Big-Small map type yield that many resources? Are you running with the standard number of opponents?

If it's a complete do over on the same map, I'd settle the capital either south or west to split up the food resources and to get some mines. That much food is only useful for a GP farm, and then only after you get some happiness.

Early war means capital needs to be doing some production too.
