Alright, every time I finally get to the map after pressing "play game", All I see is black and a couple logos on the sides. The map is all black. Then my monitor loses its connection with the computer. It is not the monitor as I have tried 2 and the exact same thing happens. I have to restart just to see anything again.

My specs:

Athlon 1.73 GHz
ATI Radeon 9000 video card, just updated drivers
Correct Direct X, meets all requirements, etc.

Any suggestions?

the radeon 9000 is more than 3 years old. THAT is your problem.
it was aimed to beat the gforce mx4 generation.....

the real wonder is that the game starts at all for you.
