(NAB) Bug in the Japan Conquest

I am the Oda civ and I am attacking Tokugawa. They have a few cities left and I decide to just go for their capital. I attack it and kill everything and think I am going to get the city. But...



A 0.0.1. unit (A WORKER) is left on the city. So I just attack the worker...



I GET HURT BY IT. I won but still, he shouldnt hurt me.

Are you sure that a different unit is not showing on the second screen as compared to the first screen?

I only had 1 elite dude, and he was it.

You were probably facing their Shogun unit under the Worker. I have seen a similar situation when I have played Regicide games.

Yes it happens every time, the King (Shogun) is under the worker, I think the King will always be the last to do battle when a town is attacked, that's why the worker is displayed.

Well, did you capture the worker?

First, turn your animations on.
Second, it's not a bug. Ever since PTW, the worker "protects" the king unit. I assume this was so that in MP games, if you were playing regicide, it would give the player a chance to escape (and make the other player think there's not a worker inside). This isn't a bug, it's actually intended.
