Although not inhaled or intramuscularly injected, Civilization is considered one of the most deadly drug in the known world. Here are my experiences with civilization:
Stage 1-The Experimenter
Introduced to Civ by friends. Was curiose. Curiosity is a motivator. The user is learning about the ways of civilization, and the effect brought on by the drug. The user is learning to trust/mistrust civilization and its effects. Playing Civ is a new feeling not in the normal range of emotions. THe user can still relate to people.
Stage 2-Regular User
The decision to do Civ has been made. Joins many clubs and forums. The user now seeks to play civ quite often. There is increased comfort and confidence in the use of the drug. The peer group that the person hangs out with also uses this drug. Playing Civ is more important now. Tolerance develops. The person becomes cocky. The user has some problems relating to others.
Stage 3-Preoccupied User
The user is thinking more about Civ. The user wants to play Civ constantly. Blackouts start to occur. Relationships are difficult. The person clearly wants to use the drug. The person plays civ when alone, which is very dangerous. The user still thinks he or she has control.
Stage 4-The Addict
The addict can no longer get high off of civ. The user must take the drug to survive. There is no choice: you must use. The person relates to civ, not people. The addict will use any time available to play civ. The behaviour is both obnoxious and intimitating. Has only 1 hour of sleep per day due to doing this drug with another user in Australia. Grades drop drastically, user is cut off from his/her social life, with the exception of the small group of other addicts that exist. Civ is the user's life.
Are you guys experiencing the same reactions?
What stage are you guys at?
