Agreed. I see a lot of ways for this to not work out, surprising as that may seem given the level of talent. I really can't see how he fits into their style of play, and I can't see them successfully changing to a style that suits him.
That starting five is up there with the Lakers' old Magic/Scott/Worthy/Rambis/Kareem.
But in no way do the Warriors have the kind of depth that those old Lakers teams had, and the Warriors don't have the cap room to sign it. The question is going to be whether their starting five can outpoint teams hard enough to overcome the stretches where bench players get eaten alive one-on-one.
One of the greatest players ever made his retirement official today; Tim Duncan. What a career. I remember cheering for him against the Lakers, cheering against him when he played the Pistons, and then cheering for him as an old geezer again. He will be missed.
