Good morning everyone,

Its a little Time i try to have a supremacy condition with kavithian protectorat, difficulty Mercury.

For the first Time i build UP a good economy while priosing yeld, food ans scientific and health.

I noticed i play with two others city and try to have much firaxit , petrol and titanium.

I research engineering and robotics as son as possible and build a agency for counter Spy.

For the army , i dont spend a lot its only for défensive on the first Time ( aircraft, marines , artillery , tank, gunners)

Values i priorise prosperity and industry.

When i have done supremacyfor six, i go on cognition because of bonus of scientist.

In my present save i have a lot of firaxit and xenomass.

Thé question IS that IS better to focus on supremacy or create an hybrid unit with harmony and supremacy ?

I have ever done a Victory as pure harmony, pure purety but never supremacy.

I Wonder if three citys with good slates IS better than ia who spend Time to done citys which according to me IS not optimized.

My neighboor IS the polyaustralia. Im it turn 67 and i have my three citys.

According to me, if i play as supremacy, i know that i have malus for the size of mi city.

And i know i need more than 2 firaxit*9 .

But i know a War economy need yeld and good research .

Because of précautions, im able to focus on electrics systems and robotics.

Im on a continental Map on primary biome.

For research After cognition what IS the best for After ?

Do i need more than three citys with good place?

Welcome to Civfanatics, Mist_87!

I play Supremacy exclusively, and it sounds like we have similar approaches in that we're both Builders at heart. Below is a screen capture of my current game (its BE not BERT). Note that I don't have a large military even though I've got a couple of warlike neighbors, and part of the reason for getting away with a small military is how I'm using the terrain to assist my defenses in that I only really need to defend the south against any strong push. So hopefully this answers your question in regards to military, as well as how I play defense.

As far as your other questions/ observations, here are my thoughts:

3 cities at turn 67 is about where I'm typically at. I don't prioritize Health as I don't consider the penalties with 3 cities to be cumbersome. Polystralia is a good neighbor to trade with as with their extra trade routes their more likely to establish more trade with you, which means less likelihood of war. As far as your next research is concerned, I'd need to know what you've researched to date: Collaborative Thought is what I always go for next in my beeline after Cognition, as I like the Precog Project and the 2 extra unit promotions it gives, but I don't get to Cognition till many turns later after I've researched defensive techs such as Ballistics and Communications. Can you post a save so I can review (and anyone else who's interested, as I'm interested in hearing what others have to say on this)? Same goes for how many cities you should build as well as how much Firaxite your should mine: if I see your save I can assess against the planet size and terrain and give good feedback on what makes sense for the number of cities and how much Firaxite you may need for your Faction.

Hello,

I have win and defeat polyaustralia because of différent affinity .

I have create three others city and Ghost freeland.

My neighboor was integrr and have also supremacy.

So that was a fair ia which fight with Brasilia and also arc had supremacy .

Pan would liké to start a Victory contact but i have be faster.

I start by exploration, chemical, engineering, genetic, robotics, electric système,défense, tactical robotics, cognition .

I noticed i have finaly research satellites and i have done with thé research for have Angel, artillery .

But may be there IS better strategy...

Hi! Welcome to CivFanatics! :goodjob::love::dance:[party]:band::beer:

First, a few questions. Are you playing the Rising Tide expansion (BERT) or the base game? Nearly all of my experience is playing BERT, where I've won a Supremacy victory with each of the different sponsors. How quickly do you declare war on a neighbor?

Yes, I also tend to research Robotics early on, since I find the planes are very useful for both offense and defense.
I haven't found the counter-spy (keeping my agents in MY cities) to provide a huge benefit. In the early to mid game, before turn 150,
I prefer to keep my spies in other cities, doing the "Siphon Energy" mission. The stolen energy can be used to buy Cytonursery and Pharmalab buildings,
to help dig myself out of the red health deficit. Later, my spies will do "Steal Science" to help research the affinity-boosting techs and get me to Hypercomputing.

Getting to level 5 in Supremacy is also good for the extra explorer mission module. I've not usually been bothered by not having enough Firaxite. Having level 2 or level 3 tanks is usually a good deterrent, and they don't need any specific resource. Don't forget to send up your satellite before you get to the final tech.

Whatever affinity I pursue, I tend to build more than 3 cities, total. Yes, having 3 cities by turn 67 is a good start. Both Harmony and Supremacy benefit from having more cities and having them closer together. Unless I'm totally landlocked, I try to have at least one aquatic city among my first 5 or 6 cities, since they will get a discount for building navy ships.

When you get ready to build the Supremacy wonder (Emancipation Gate), be sure to put it on land. That way, all of the land units that you send through will have full strength.
Try to arrange your trade missions so that they are going FROM your various cities TO the city building the gate... which is often, but not always, your capital. The extra trade routes will help with production.
