I have a real hard time, even on warlord level to maintain a good speed tech rate. I know how to play, and can dominate victory, but even though 90-95% of my turns are 3.7 or 4.6 I am just discovering basic flight in like 1970... and I'm ususally on par or ahead of the most rival civs.
Anyways in the editor, I found a game setting for tech rate? It is like 60 for tiny and 240 for huge maps.
What does this mean exactly? How does this tech rate work and if I made it 60 for a huge or 240 for a tiny (opposite of what it is) or change that number up or down in any way how does this effect the speed of tech advance?
I was thinking of making each advance cost 2/3 of what it does now. But that's a bit of manual editing, was hoping to change just one overall number.
I don't want a cheat, I want it on par... I just want to have a HOPE of doing a SS victory and just getting started on modern at Y2K.
