I'll be brief:
1. Is starting soldier EVER worth it? in all my testing by the time i've got enough units out to actually fight some aliens or something, I could've probably built/bought one from the extra econ another choice would've given me.
2. Tech path- i'm...kinda lost here to be blunt. I know that an affinity tech early is huge(especially if i get lucky on the explorations) but beyond that i'm having a hard time balancing my economy and getting my military out.
3. Virtues- might, duh. But might and what? obviously getting the "aliens for science" thing is usually good(last 2 games however I had next to 0), and tier 2 and 3 are amazing, but is there anything I should really care about tier 1?
4. Does the outpost virtue also give me a city if i take a settlement, or is that still only an expedtion site?
5. First 3 or 4 cap builds? I'm guessing relic(because it's just too good), scout, worker, colony or something like that(free soldier), but i'm really not sure.
