To my fellow modders:

I really could use some input on this one.

I am getting the following error message:
Missing entry in "Scenarios\Huge Earth\text\PediaIcons.text": ANIMNAME_

I have gone through my PediaIcons in that folder several times over and cannot find any errors in the Unit Animations category. It is really driving me crazy!

Any help would surely be appreciated.

Check your units in the editor. Do they all have PRTO_??? values?

My first impression is that one of the units doesn't have a PRTO_ value and the game is looking for an empty ANIMNAME. Could be wrong though.

Okay all units have PRTO values. I am currently running through my civilopedia to make sure it's correct.

Okay, now I have officially run through and checked every last file of the civilopedia, pediaicons, and the scenario itself...nothing's missing.

NOW WHAT!?

Chris-
What did you do different?

If all your units have entries (in the editor) of the form PRTO_UNITNAME, then you should not be getting the error "Missing blah blah blah: ANIMNAME_", you *could* be getting an error of the syntax "Missing blah blah blah: ANIMNAME_PRTO_UNITNAME". If you are still getting the original error, you have most likely missed specifying a civilopedia entry for a unit. Please be more specific.

As it stands the error I am still getting is the one that I have listed up at the top ver batim.
I will re-check the editor for anything that may have been mis-typed.

Civilopedia has nothing to do with this. The culprit is in the bic/bix/biq or pediaicons.txt. Most likely it's in the bic/bix/biq.

You are 100% certain that when going through your units in the editor, they all have been assigned PRTO values? As the error message is exactly the one that is displayed when a unit doesn't have a PRTO_UNITNAME value.

Editor is in bold to make sure that you are checking the entries in the editor, not in pediaicons.txt.

Drift-
I went back and checked the editor and it looks like everything is in place. I can upload the file if you want to take a look at it.

Edit: I am now getting a new error message

Everything is the same as before except now it reads:
ANIMNAME_mall.pcx

It must be trying to read a unit that is just not there, but again it just doesn't make sense.

Okay,
I'll upload the respective files.

Here they are:

@#!*& files

Maybe you guys can find something that I missed.

I looked at them quickly, but didn't find the problem. Sorry. :(

Yeah, that was my reaction too. I looked high and low through those files and couldn't find a problem. Hopefully, someone will know of a fix.

Krayzeenbk-
Did you get a chance to look at the files to see if I did something wrong?
