Need help with map!

Ah, see that title gets right to point.
Hello, I'm making this map, or editing it. It's rhyes Earth map, see I've added cities to the map, fulled it up. But now I'm trying to get it to open in normal CIV4, but everytime I try all the cities on the Old-World disappear! Gone! I've been trying to find out why, and I think I got it now, when I take it out of the Mod(in the XML map file) it won't load, put it back and it will.... Any ideas why?

Oh... And while I'm here, any idea just what the city size means? I first thought that it meant: City 1= 1000 people. But I'm not so sure now...

The epic game has a cap of 18 civs. You can't have more without a mod.

Alright, thanks... But, I only have 7 civs put up. So that can't be it.

7 with cities or 7 total? The game doesn't evaluate how many cities a civ has when selecting who to delete. You will need to remove the other civs from the worldbuildersave file. Deleting all cities and units is not enough.

Okay... I have 7 civs with cities, 7 civs that are playable and 17 civ slots in the worldbuilder file. So, I don't think it's that. Is there maybe a max number of cities allowed in a map?

Perhaps you could post it here so people can see what's wrong with it? This is very unusual. From what you've said, it seems like it should work.
