Need help!

I have made contact with other civilizations and even made a couple of trades, but I cannot see the leaders on my foreign advisor screen. I have to make direct contact in order to speak with each leader (right-click on a civilization's unit). Can anyone tell me why I am not able to see the leaders on the foreign advisor screen? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Shift-D is the easiest way to contact other civs.

In the foreign advisor screen, if a leader does not appear, do the following... Hover the cursor over where the leaders face should appear. Hold down the shift key then click (I can't remember if it's right or left click). You should get a drop down menu of civs you can select. Select one of them and their face should appear there.
